Associate Professor Dr. Dzati Athiar Ramli
Associate Professor Dr. Dzati Athiar Ramli currently works for School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia and also a member of Intelligent Biometrics Research Group (IBG), Universiti Sains Malaysia. She was previously the visiting lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, UK. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Science in Mathematics from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She then obtained the PhD degree in Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her areas of interest are Digital Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence with applications to Speech, Palm print and ECG Biometrics and Blind Source Separation (BSS) as well as in Healthcare Informatics for Stroke Monitoring and Fetal ECG Signal Separation. She is also the principle investigators of several projects funded by USM and MoHE grants as well as a co-researcher for ASEAN IVO International Grant and has published her research findings in local and international proceedings and journals. Others of her major roles include being the invited speaker to Malaysian-French Biometrics Seminar (ICoHSE 2016) and Asian Biometrics Consortium and Korean Biometrics Exhibition 2012, organizing committee for ISBA International Conference 2018 and Asian Biometrics Schools (winter edition) 2016, organizing secretariat for RoViSP International Conference in 2018 and 2014, consultant on Biometric Technology with College of Computer Science and Information Technology, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia in 2013 as well as a reviewer to several local and international conferences and journals.
